TH 95 Bridge over the Rum River

Cambridge, Minnesota

SRF was selected by MnDOT to perform contract administration, construction inspection, and materials testing for the new TH 95 Bridge over the Rum River, approximately five miles west of Cambridge. The project was funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. The bridge was a three-span prestressed concrete beam, 44’ wide, and 233’ long. The project included concrete rail, structural tube railing, concrete wearing course, piling, and construction over a river. Other aspects of the project include grading, base, bituminous paving, traffic barrier, and turf establishment.

SRF’s responsibilities included:

  • Contract administration and project documentation
  • Entering quantities into field ops
  • Maintaining project documentation in the TRACS system
  • Completing the material certification
  • Completing the final “draft” pay request
  • Participating in an audit by the Federal Highway Administration
