Parkers Lake Storm Sewer Lift Station Upgrade

Plymouth, Minnesota

The Parkers Lake storm sewer lift station pumps lake water from an intermediate pond to regulate the water levels on Parkers Lake. The original station was in place for nearly 30 years, and service records showed that all three pumps run for days following a major storm event. The City of Plymouth retained SRF to assist with replacing the pumps, controls, and instrumentation with a variable speed system and designing a valve vault and bypass system. The existing structure was inspected and repaired as needed to house the new system. The station is adjacent to an Xcel electrical substation and shares access with the station, which required special considerations. SRF performed the construction administration for the City of Plymouth.
