MnDOT TH 610 Design-Build

Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

SRF provided lead design services and construction quality management on the TH 610 Design-Build, which extended TH 610 from TH 169 west to Hennepin CSAH 81. In addition to designing 2.75 miles of new four-lane freeway, SRF was responsible for:

  • Converting the partial interchange at TH 169 to a full cloverleaf interchange.
  • Designing overpasses provided at Jefferson Highway, Revere Lane, Zachary Lane and Hemlock Lane and a pedestrian overpass at Nathan Lane.
  • Designing interchange access ramps at the Zachary Lane overpass and CSAH 81.
  • Designing noise walls along the residential areas
  • Lining an MCES interceptor sewer and reconstructing the manholes
  • Roundabouts at Zachary Lane interchange ramp terminals
  • Grade raise of TH 610 profile to eliminate the need for concrete retaining walls, and allow for a ditch along the north side to convey offsite storm water runoff from over 230 acres
  • Spread footings and semi-integral abutments for the new bridges

Responsible for overall design and construction quality, SRF led a quality management/quality control team that worked closely with MnDOT verification staff and ensured critical activity points were completed on time.
