On Saturday, October 15, 2022, the SRF team joined Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway, Mayor Jacob Frey, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and other dignitaries for the official opening of the new Norway House complex in Minneapolis.
The new building expansion, an 18,000 sq ft innovation and culture building designed by Twin Cities architect Dewey Thorbeck and constructed by McGough, is the local gathering place for everyone interested in Norway and Norwegian culture.
SRF led the project site planning, civil engineering, stormwater management, landscape architecture, travel demand management plan, survey, and construction staking.
SRF’s Project Manager Paul Schroeder commented, “Along with many of my SRF colleagues, I am proud to be part of such a cultural and historical project for the Norway House. We are humbled to be on the team with talented artists committed to preserving the Norwegian culture. Congratulations to everyone involved!”
