Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Visitor Center

As the formal entry to 1,000 acres of gardens, plant collections, and native landscapes, the Visitor Center and surrounding landscape are the showcase of the Arboretum and affirm the institution’s prominent role in the local and international community.

SRF provided site engineering and landscape design services for the Visitor Center, which became the new heart of the Arboretum when it opened in 2005. As part of the consulting team, SRF prepared schematics through construction documents and provided in-construction services for pedestrian and vehicular approaches to the building, pathway connections to existing gardens, and service access. The Visitor Center also features four new terraced gardens for outdoor dining, receptions, teaching and recreation.

The Visitor Center continues a highly successful collaboration with the Arboretum in the strategic implementation of its long-range master plan vision.
