Chris Sagsveen

Chris has more than 30 years of experience as an accomplished civil engineer and department director leading a broad range of public projects, programs, and initiatives. His extensive background in the public sector includes 23 years at Hennepin County, MN,  and several years at the Illinois Department of Transportation earlier in his career.

Chris’s ability to embrace challenges as opportunities has led to a unique balance of work experiences spanning multiple areas of engineering and administration. His expertise includes strategic leadership, planning, design, construction coordination, and operations and maintenance. Chris has developed a strong understanding of many of SRF’s service areas and beyond, such as surface transportation, asset management, fleet services, and facility services. His passion for data-driven decision-making and the advancement of sustainable initiatives and technologies align with SRF’s values and mission of creating lasting solutions to strengthen communities.
