Marie Cote was honored with the the 2025 WTS Minnesota Chapter’s Woman of the Year Award. With WTS’s mission of transforming the transportation industry through the advancement of women, she could not be more worthy of this recognition.
Throughout her 32-year career, Marie has dedicated her work to enhancing diversity and equity in the engineering industry, particularly for People of Color and women. As Chief People Officer at SRF, Marie steers Human Resources, Administrative, and Technology operations. In addition, she to oversees all SRF’s employee-led committees, including Staff Engagement, Social, DEI, Community Outreach, Health and Wellness, and Rising Professionals.
Marie’s more technical work has involved balancing project management and delivery with staff development and engagement, managing many complex transportation planning and traffic engineering studies along with intense stakeholder facilitation.
