We’re back with another inspiring story from our “Living Our Values” initiative! It’s wonderful to see how SRF employees are making significant impacts, embodying our core values in profound ways.

This time, we’re featuring a submission from Ken Helvey, SRF Real Estate Group Senior Director, who shared a powerful example of our commitment to Community.

For more than 13 years, Ken and his dedicated team have worked on the Fargo-Moorhead Metro Flood Diversion Project. This massive undertaking, in collaboration with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and numerous local agencies, is designed to provide comprehensive flood protection to the Fargo-Moorhead area and the wider Red River Valley.

The impact of this project is monumental: it will safeguard nearly 260,000 people, protecting their homes, businesses, and property from the devastating effects of flooding.

The project’s focus on helping residents live without fear of losing their homes and businesses and its collaborative spirit working alongside local agencies perfectly embodies SRF’s core value of Community.
