Implementing the New Title VI Requirements

All agencies that receive financial assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) are obligated to meet certain reporting requirements. At a minimum, transit providers must develop a public Title VI notice and use a four-factor analysis to implement a public engagement plan. Agencies located in an urbanized area of 200,000 or more in population and operating 50 or more fixed-route vehicles in peak service must meet additional requirements.

SRF understands that providing a balanced system of public transportation services and meeting as many customer needs as possible are challenges that all communities face. Our team of experts has worked with transit systems across the country to complete numerous Title VI Analysis projects. With more than 50 years of demonstrated transit experience, our comprehensive approach helps agencies navigate through the new Title VI process.
