Recently, SRF’s Funding and Grants Team helped our partners at SDDOT and Corson County successfully secure $21.4 million in Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability & Equity (RAISE) program funding!
The grant funds will go towards the reconstruction of nine miles of US Highway 12, which runs along the northern tier of central South Dakota and serves as critical access for the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and the movement of people and commerce.
This vital infrastructure project supports SDDOT’s goal of maintaining critical assets, such as major highways like US 12, and promotes safety and state of good repair improvements to the state’s transportation system. Congratulations!
The RAISE grant provides a federal funding mechanism for the USDOT to invest in roadway, rail, transit, and port projects that have regional and national significance. Project sponsors can include state DOTs, MPOs, counties, municipalities, and tribal governments.
