Rory Rhinesmith, PE, has joined SRF as our Great Lakes Region Business Development Director and Principal. He brings a wealth of experience from his 33-year career at WisDOT, where he most recently served as the Deputy Administrator/Deputy Chief Engineer and managed the operations of WisDOT’s Highway Division.
As a key member of the Secretary’s leadership team, Rory served on WisDOT’s Board of Directors and the Mega-Project Oversight Team and regularly collaborated with numerous state and national resource agencies. Rory is a recognized leader on transportation policy and funding and has established relationships with elected leaders and industry stakeholders. In addition to assisting with regional business development and working with SRF’s Wisconsin offices in Madison and Milwaukee, Rory will contribute to major transportation projects at SRF.

While at WisDOT, Rory actively participated in AASHTO, MAASTO, and TRB and presented at regional and national conferences, sharing his transportation policy, planning, and programming expertise. In addition, he was integral to WisDOT’s delivery of the Marquette Interchange, Zoo Interchange, I-94 North-South Freeway, USH 41, and I-39/90 Mega Projects.
