Advanced Transportation Management Open Software – a suite of services from SRF’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team to help our clients plan, deploy, and operate the IRIS ATMS software.
SRF’s ITS team, unique to the nation in its large capacity and capability, excels at design, hardware integration, and support services. This experience ensures that IRIS installations will be functional and trouble-free.
SRF provides the technical assistance to design, deploy, support, and modify your installation, so you can take on as much of the system management as appropriate for your organization. As with all of SRF’s services, individual elements are tailored to your specific needs. The only ATMOS costs are for the services you choose.
Initially created by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, IRIS is used to operate one of the most extensive freeway management systems in the country. It is composed of client and server software written in the JAVA programming language, allowing for any operating system that has Java to run the program (e.g., Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX). Any size system can be accommodated from single signs to thousands of detection devices.
IRIS can operate large numbers of roadway management devices and more specialized applications such as access control gate arms. IRIS’ functions include:
- CCTV Control
- DMS Control
- Ramp Metering
- Vehicle Detector Data Management
- Travel Time Displays
- Gate Control
- Intelligent Lane Control Signs
- Beacon Control
- Scheduled Events
- Comprehensive Security
