In 2013 Washington County approached SRF for assistance in creating their self-evaluation and transition plan for County facilities, including County Rights of Way, Parks and Buildings. An incremental approach to completing the self-evaluation was selected to allow portions of the transition plan to be complete in advance of others.
SRF collaborated with the County on the development of a GIS application to assist in the data collection, development of a training manual to support that application, trained interns to perform the data collection and reviewed the County’s policies and procedures.
Upon completion of the inventory of County facilities, a public outreach process gathered input which SRF incorporated into the development of a County Transition Plan. The ADA Transition Plan for Washington County documents their requirements as part of the ADA, self-evaluation, policies and procedures, implementation schedule, ADA Coordinator, public outreach process and grievance procedure. This plan was made available for public viewing on June 18, 2015.
