We are seeking a full-time Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our Omaha, Nebraska office. As a Transportation Planner / Engineer, you will will assist with the development of a variety of planning projects including transit plans, multimodal corridor studies, subarea studies, regional transportation plans, freight studies, and policy development.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team to address client needs
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Employing performance measures to evaluate alternate action concepts
  • GIS mapping and spatial analysis
  • Report and memo writing
  • Public presentations
  • Communication and interaction with clients and sub consultants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation planning, urban planning, civil engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of related professional experience
  • Desire to attain AICP certification or P.E. licensure
  • Familiarity with geography, land use and transportation issues
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven technical writing ability
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in a number of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets and database software. GIS capabilities a plus.
