We are seeking an entry level Transportation Engineer to join our Madison, WI office. This position will assist with the development of a variety of transportation-related projects including roadway design, corridor studies, traffic impact studies, freeway modeling, traffic forecasting, traffic safety and other specialized traffic analysis work.
Typical responsibilities may include, but would not be limited to:
- Data collection and analysis
- Traffic simulation modeling
- Traffic impact studies
- Project documentation
- Computer drafting and design activities
- Quantity computation
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in traffic engineering and or transportation/civil engineering.
- Related internship / co-op experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven technical writing ability
- Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and experience with any transportation engineering software a plus (AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, ArcGIS, CUBE)
