We are seeking a Traffic Engineer Project Manager to join our growing Plymouth, Minnesota office. This position will assist with and lead the development of a large variety of traffic engineering design/operations projects. It will also assist the group leadership in the development and implementation of its strategic growth plan.


  • Lead the development of conceptual, preliminary and final designs
  • Project and task management
  • Intersection Control Evaluations/Signal Justification Reports
  • Traffic signal design
  • Signing and pavement markings design
  • Overhead sign structural design
  • Construction staging and work zone traffic control
  • Detour signing
  • Transportation Management Plans
  • Connected vehicle signal applications
  • Asset Management
  • Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships
  • Identify and pursue project opportunities, prepare proposals


  • Bachelor’s degree in traffic engineering and/or transportation/civil engineering; Master’s degree a plus
  • Eight to fifteen years of traffic engineering experience, including transportation project management experience
  • Professional Licensure in the State of Minnesota; licensure in other states is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and proven technical writing ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory and team-building skills
  • Proficiency in a number of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and experience with the following traffic engineering software a plus (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, SignCAD, Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D )
