Khani Sahebjam Joins SRF

Khani Sahebjam, PE, has joined SRF as Vice President – in addition to assisting with regional business development, he will contribute to major transportation projects. He brings a wealth of experience from his prior work at MnDOT and collaboration with other state and national agencies. In his distinguished career at MnDOT, Khani last served as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Engineer and was also the Metro District Engineer for the Twin Cities and the State Aid Program Delivery and Bridge Engineer. Khani has many years of experience working with city, county, and state units of government and with elected leaders on transportation policy and funding issues.

SRF President Dave Montebello stated, “We are extremely excited that Khani has joined our leadership team and will be part of guiding SRF’s regional growth strategy. His knowledge and in-depth understanding of transportation issues, resources, and delivery methods will be an invaluable resource for agencies that we serve. Many of these agencies face the common challenges of delivering transportation services to users with limited resources.”

While at MnDOT, Khani served on several AASHTO committees and presented at national conferences, sharing his transportation policy, planning and programming expertise. He was integral to a number of MnDOT efforts to encourage quality, safety, efficient program delivery, innovative contracting, and managed lanes. Khani is highly respected for his efforts in advancing large-scale projects, such as the I-35W Bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, and fostering collaborative project teams.

Khani continues to be actively involved in numerous professional organizations and legislative activities. His in-depth transportation knowledge enables him to assist clients in planning and designing infrastructure projects, with an understanding of long-term operation and maintenance needs.
