Our dynamic and successful Structures Group is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer Design Lead. This position would be based in our Madison, WI office. As a Structural Engineer Design Lead, you would be responsible for the design and/or management of structural engineering and design projects for public infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare structural design calculations and perform analyses on projects of varying complexity using hand calculations, analysis software, and other accepted methods.
- Prepare plans and specifications for construction projects that comply with applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform construction administration with periodic field inspections.
- Assisting with generating required engineering reports, performing quantity estimates, detailing, and drafting.
- Bridge inspections and load ratings with some travel possible.
- Ensure SRF’s quality procedures are maintained for all work.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited school with and emphasis in structural engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or with the ability to obtain MN and WI licensure within 6 months.
- 4 or more years of Structural Engineering experience in bridge design preferred.
- Experience on a variety of state and local engineering projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and produce construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley design software.
- Enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
