SRF’s Dan Haake and Chris Ryan Explore Innovative State Freight Planning Techniques in TR News

Most State DOTs have completed or are in the process of completing statewide freight plans. These plans are designed not only to meet federal requirements but to encourage economic growth by decreasing the transportation costs for freight users. Although all statewide freight plans address this goal, some have gone beyond the statutory requirements to make a significant imprint on their state’s economic future.
SRF’s Dan Haake and Chris Ryan explore how many DOTs are embracing innovative techniques to address freight issues in their states in the March – April edition of TR News.
