Goodhue County’s Southeast Collector Wins MCEA Project of the Year Award

On January 20th, the Minnesota County Engineers Association announced that the Goodhue County Southeast Collector (CSAH 24) South project won their 2015 Project of the Year Award. SRF is proud of our role in working with the County to plan and design this new two-lane roadway in Cannon Falls.

After MnDOT received SAM grant funding in 2011 for the CSAH 24/TH 52 Interchange, the County learned the Mayo Clinic was also building a new hospital in the area. This required the County to quickly finalize plans for the new 1.3 mile segment of roadway and let the project. Construction was completed in 2014 and timed to open concurrent with the new hospital.

Project Manager Ken Holte stated, “this is a great project, and I’m proud of SRF’s support of the County.”
